ICAR-CIFT Hosts Workshop to Celebrate World Intellectual Property Day 2025

The Zonal Technology Management - Agribusiness Incubation Centre (ZTM-ABI) of ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology organized a workshop today to commemorate World Intellectual Property Day. The event aimed to highlight the vital role of Intellectual Property (IP) in fostering innovation and creativity, particularly in the fisheries and allied sectors. Dr. George Ninan, Director, ICAR-CIFT, inaugurated the workshop and emphasized the strategic importance of effective IP management.

The workshop featured insightful lectures by invited experts who shared their expertise on current trends, challenges, and best practices in intellectual property rights, patent filing, and trademark protection. They also highlighted the relevance of patents, copyrights, and other forms of IP specifically in the context of the fisheries sector.
