A 2-week Induction Training Programme on ‘Project Management and Research Methodology’ for the newly recruited scientists of the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education was organized from 12th-25th February 2024, at ICAR- National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad.
Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director ICAR-NAARM, in his valedictory address urged the trainees to make use of the knowledge acquired during the training to conceive socially relevant and technically sound projects on forestry and environment to address the issues concerning forest ecology, climate change, and sustainability.
Dr. G. Venkateshwarlu, Joint Director, ICAR-NAARM, urged participants to regularly update their knowledge through training and capacity development programs, including Massive Open Online Courses, based on job role demands.
Dr. Tavva Srinivas, Program Director and Head, Agribusiness Management Division of the Academy acknowledged the ICFRE's opportunity to enhance scientists' project management skills through induction training, enabling them to effectively plan research.
A total of 38 participants from nine different institutes of ICFRE attended the programme.
