ICAR - National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad organized a five-day training on ‘Innovations in Digital Extension’ from March 11th to 15th, 2024 in Hyderabad.
Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad, emphasised the importance of digital technologies in replacing the earlier master trainer’s concept. He also stressed the need for developing digital tools to be more specific and focused, enabling them to reach larger audiences in a shorter time.
Dr. G. Venkateshwarlu, Joint Director, ICAR-NAARM, underlined the significance of digital technologies in supporting stakeholders across various disciplines.
About 26 sessions including lectures and practicals were completed by eminent experts on digital extension during this training. The course is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the various digital innovations to enhance the capabilities of extension professionals.
A total of 16 participants from various states representing ICAR, State Agricultural Universities, KVKs, Private Universities, etc., participated in this training program.
