ICAR-National Institute for Research on Crop Adaptation (ICAR-NIRCA) organized the Innovators Meet 2025 at its Rajahmundry campus today. Spearheaded by the Institute Technology Management Unit (ITMU) under the leadership of Dr. M. Sheshu Madhav, the event aimed to foster agricultural innovation, sustainable practices, and entrepreneurship.
Dr. Madhav underscored the significance of emerging technologies and collaboration in building a future-ready agricultural ecosystem. Dr. H. Ravisankar highlighted the convergence of researchers, entrepreneurs, industry experts, and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), showcasing ICAR-NIRCA’s commitment to advancing commercial agriculture and agri-tech.
Dr. Tara Satyavati, Director, ICAR-IIMR, Hyderabad, shared the institute’s achievements commercialization of 89 technologies, support to over 500 start-ups, and contributions to food and nutritional security through small grains recognizing IIMR as a Global Centre of Excellence.

Dr. Nataraj, Deputy Director, Indian Institute of Packaging, stressed that efficient packaging is key to unlocking export potential.
Representatives from financial and export organizations also participated in the programme.
The Innovators Meet also featured an exhibition inaugurated by the Director of ICAR-NIRCA, showcasing value-added products from turmeric, ashwagandha, chilli, and millets, as well as innovative agri-tools, drones, and robotics developed by ICAR institutes, FPOs, NGOs, APCNF, and agri-industries.
An Ideathon on agripreneurship, the launch of a publication featuring farmer success stories and innovations, and an award ceremony recognizing 17 innovators were also part of the event. Participants included scientists, entrepreneurs, and farmers from Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
