Every developing sector of a country is indebted to the many contributions of the workers all over the nation, so they must be respected! They deserve to be treated well not only today but every day of the year! With that beautiful quote, the ICAR-IARI established at DirpaiChapori, Gogamukh, Assam observed the International Labour’s Day on 1st May 2023 at its campus. The scientists, construction site engineers, security guards and office attendants of ICAR-IARI, Assam gathered at the ShaikshanikBhawan. Dr.Deepjyoti Baruah, Principal Scientist & Scientist In-Charge welcomed the gathering with an introductory speech on the importance of the day and thanked all the staffs for their meticulous effort in building up of the institute on forefront. Dr.A.K. Srivastava, Principal Scientist of the institute graced the special occasion of Labours’ Day reflected in his brief speech on the history of commemorating the Labours’ Day. He further acknowledged the significant contribution of labourers of all kinds across the country in building up the nationwhich was applauded by the workers of ICAR-IARI, Assam. All the scientists of the instituteconveyed theirbest regards to the workers of the institute on the day. In order to motivate the workers, the team of scientists presented the staffs with a few essential materials viz. umbrella, torch light, chairs & table. The Scientist In-Charge thanked all the members of the gathering for their kind presence.
