“The students should work hard against all odds to prosper in life with discipline, dedication, and time management”, said Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM during National Science Day celebrations organized at NAARM today. Dr Rao encouraged the students to learn by observation of their surroundings, and progress in academics by taking failures and constraints as opportunities, and develop a positive mindset towards goal achievements. He emulated exemplary scientists’ examples from various fields with scientific efforts the country has attained development across decades.
Every year, National Science Day is observed to mark the discovery of the Raman effect by Indian physicist and noble Laurite Sir C. V. Raman on 28 February 1928, to develop scientific temperament among youngsters.
Dr. G. Venkateswarlu, Joint Director, ICAR-NAARM stressed the importance of girls’ education in general and science in particular for a successful nation. He also urged the students to give the best of their abilities through hard work and consistency.
While addressing, Smt. Uma Maheswari, Principal, ZPHS, Shamshabad, encouraged the students to work hard and be role models for others.
Around 210 students of the 8th & 9th Classes of Zilla Parishad Girls High School, Shamshabad participated in the celebrations. The students were taken for a campus tour in two batches, and were appraised of the various facilities like the Agro-technology park, Biodiversity park, Herbal garden, nursery, diff. orchids and floriculture fields in the campus.
