Hands-on Training on ‘Improved Agricultural Implements and Machinery for farmers’ at CIAE

Bhopal, 20 August 2016.

Dr K. K. Singh (Director, CIAE) inaugurated three-day a hands-on training on ‘Improved Agricultural Implements and Machinery’ for farmers on 18 August 2016 at Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering. During the training, participants were briefed on various technologies on farm mechanization and agro-processing; and given hands-on training including demonstrations of improved agricultural technologies, necessary adjustments for proper functioning of machines during operation as well as visits to different laboratories of the Institute to get exposure on different agricultural technologies. Operation-wise demonstrations of implements were conducted on seed bed preparation, sowing/planting and transplanting, spraying, inter-culture, harvesting and threshing. The women friendly tools/implements, conservation agriculture machinery and bullock drawn machinery and covered cultivation technologies for crop production were also demonstrated to the participants.

Director, CIAE in his valedictory address urged the participants to implement the knowledge gained by them on their field and propagate it among farming community for betterment of their life. Total 98 farmers Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Maharashtra participated in the training.
