108th Foundation Course (FOCARS) Inaugurated at ICAR-NAARM

108th Foundation Course for Agricultural Research Service (FOCARS) inaugurated at National Academy of Agriculture Research Management on 2nd July, 2018 where 135 newly recruited ARS probationers joined. The FOCARS is a three-month training programme of Agricultural Research Service probationers who have cleared the Agricultural Research Service Examination of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research of the ICAR. This training comprising of different components to build the competencies of the young ARS scientist who, belonging to various specialized disciplines of agricultural sciences will be placed in various research institutes of the ICAR at the end of this training programme.

Dr. Ashok Dalwai, IAS, Chairman, National Rainfed Area Authority, New Delhi and Chairman, Committee on Doubling Farmers’ Income, New Delh  delivered presidential address.

Ch.Srinivasa Rao, Director of the Academy emphasized on positive thinking and proactive involvement of the young scientists in all spheres of agriculture research and development. He also emphasized diversity of the country ecosystems and the ways of serving the country by the Agriculture Scientists.
