Centre for Advanced and Faculty Training (CAFT) training on “Soft Computing Tools for Applications in Food and Agricultural Processing” inaugurated at ICAR-Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Bhopal on 1st August, 2018.
The purpose of the course is to acquaint participant about soft computing tools like artificial neual network (ANN), fuzzy logic, support vector machine, genetic algorithm decision trees and their applications in food and agricultural processing.
Dr. Navin Chandra, Director General, Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology (MPCOST), in his inaugural address stressed upon new tools and multi-disciplinary approach for solving the problems of farmers.
Dr. K.K. Singh, Director, ICAR-CIAE Bhopal and Course Director CAFT highlighted the importance of new technologies including soft computing tools to be used in food processing.
Scientists and faculty members from State Agricultural Universities and ICAR Institutes are participating in the training programme.
