The ICAR-National Institute of Animal Nutrition and Physiology, Bengaluru organized the Annual Review Meeting of ICAR-All India Coordinated Research Project (AICRP) on “Nutritional and Physiological Approaches to Enhance Reproductive Performance in Animals” at Odisha University of Agriculture & Technology (OUAT), Bhubaneswar today.
Dr. Joykrushna Jena, Deputy Director General (Animal & Fisheries Sciences), ICAR highlighted the importance of technology generation and refinement for addressing the problems in livestock under field conditions. Dr. Jena urged for rewarding the performing centres as model for other centres. He also released the Annual Report of ICAR-AICRP.
Dr. Ashok Kumar, ADG (Health and Animal Nutrition & Physiology), ICAR emphasized on the nutrition’s importance in addressing the infertility causes of non-infectious origin.
Dr. P.K. Agrawal, Vice-Chancellor, OUAT appreciated the concept of networking the expertise across the country through the AICRP programme.
Dr. Raghavendra Bhatta, Director, ICAR-NIANP and Programme Coordinator of AICRP briefed the salient achievements of ICAR-AICRP.
Dr. R.C. Patra, Dean of Research, OUAT was also present during the occasion.
