RVSKVV Krishi Vigyan Kendra and Zonal Agriculture Research Station, Morena (M.P.) organized Kisan Mela-cum-exhibition and Beekeeping Awareness Programme here today.

Shri Radha Mohan Singh, Union minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare in his inaugural address elaborated upon several farmer oriented schemes of Government and urged the farmers to take the benefit of these schemes. He emphasized on Organic farming, Natural farming and cow based farming to reduce the cost of cultivation and enhanced   the productivity of crops. Focus should be on Bee keeping for improve crop productivity and additional income of farmers, he added. He also discussed on irrigation and ravine management schemes.

Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Union minister of Gramin Vikash and Panchyati, Government of Rajasthan focused on reduce production cost of Agriculture crops, Bee keeping for self employment and increase additional income of the farmers and cultivation crops in Chambal ravine area on basis of Asah Village model developed by RVSKVV scientist.

Shri Rustam Singh, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Madhya Pradesh emphasized on  micro irrigation, increase area of horticulture crops, implementation of National Horticulture Mission in Morena district and Bee keeping in the area.

The dignitaries laid the foundation stone of “Integrated Beekeeping Development Centre” and inaugurated Farmers First project at Morena.

Shri Munshi Lal Chairman, Kukut Nigam, Mrs. Geeta Harshana President Jila Panchayat, Shri Subedar Singh MLA Joura, Shri Satyapal Singh MLA Sumawali and Shri Ashok Agral Mayor Nagar Nigam Morena participated in this programme.

Vice Chancellors of Sate Agricultural Universities, Senior Officials from ICAR Headquarters, Directors of ICAR Institutes participated and provided their valuable inputs.

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Morena, Gwalior, Sheopur, Bhind, Shivpuri, Guna and Ashoknagar exhibit proven technologies in the exhibition for farmers benefit.

About 2500-3000 farmers and extension personals participated in this programme.
