Hands-on-Training for Farmers on Improved Agricultural Implements and Machinery

CIAE-01-02012020.jpgThe ICAR-Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Bhopal organized the “Hands-on-Training Programme for Farmers on Improved Agricultural Implements and Machinery” from 24th to 26th December, 2019.

The programme was organized under the Consortia Research Platform on Farm Mechanization and Precision Farming (CRP on FMPF).

Dr. P.S. Tiwari, Director, ICAR-CIAE, Bhopal inaugurated the programme.

During the training, the participants were updated on new technologies on farm mechanization, precision agriculture and agro-processing. They were provided with the hands-on-training to make critical adjustments of machinery and work with improved agricultural technologies. The participants were also provided with the exposure to the different laboratories to know about the different available agricultural engineering technologies.

The women-friendly tools / implements, conservation agriculture machinery and bullock drawn machinery were also demonstrated to the farmers.

In his valedictory address, Dr. P.S. Tiwari, Director, ICAR-CIAE urged the participants for applying the knowledge gained during the workshop for doubling their income and propagating it among the farming community for betterment of their lives.

The participants were felicitated with the certificates during the valedictory function.

A total of 90 farmers from 6 Districts of Madhya Pradesh (Rajgarh - 32; Bhopal - 28; Gwalior - 19; Sehore - 8; Vidisha - 2 and Raisen - 1) participated in the programme.
