3-5 th March, 2020, Junagadh, Gujarat
The ICAR-Directorate of Groundnut Research, Junagadh, Gujarat organized a three-day Training Programme on “Improved production technologies of summer groundnut for Saurashtra” from 3rd to 5th March, 2020.
The women folks were provided with the information on the groundnut’s cultivation, its nutritional aspects, prevention from diseases and pests management, application of bio-fertilizer, confectionery groundnut varieties, soil health management, etc., during the occasion. The participants were also provided with the exposure visit to the farm section, groundnut field, gene bank and labs.
The main objective of the programme was to empower the woman farmers, especially, involved in groundnut cultivation.
The training programme registered a total participation by 26 women farmers from Junagadh District, Gujarat.
