Entrepreneurship Development Programme on Particle Board and Nanocellulose concludes successfully at CIRCOT, Mumbai

An Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) for Technologies on Biomass Utilization, Focus: Particle Board and Nanocellulose was inaugurated at CIRCOT, Mumbai on March 11th, 2013.  In this programme Delegates from   industries, spinning mill, government departments and NGO's participated.  This programme was designed to train and motivate potential public and private entrepreneurs to start new business in manufacturing of particle board and nanocellulose and encourage self-employment among youth.

Dr. R. P. Kachru, Research Advisory Committee (RAC) of CIRCOT and Governing Body Member of ICAR inaugurated the programme and Mr. Sudhir Bhargav, Governing Body Member of ICAR as a Special Guests In his inaugural address Dr. Kachru appreciated the innovation-led and environment friendly technologies developed by CIRCOT for effective management of biomass, especially the manufacturing of nanocelluloseand particle board from cotton stalk.

During the three day programme from March 11-13, 2013 lectures on topics related to entrepreneurial motivation, techno-entrepreneurship, setting up of small scale industry and marketing strategy was delivered by eminent speakers like Mr. Hemraj Singh, Chief General Manager, National Small Industries Corporation (West Zone)   Prof. Nandini Vaidyanathan, Founder   Creating Access to Resources & Markets, Bangalore, Mr. Suresh Kotak, Chairman, Kotak & Co. Ltd.

 Dr. S. K. Chattopadhyay, Director, CIRCOT welcomed the delegates and gave the background information on the purpose of organizing the EDP.  Er. A.K. Bharimalla, Scientist & CPI, ZTM-BPD unit at CIRCOT presented the programme details and Dr. P. G. Patil, Head, Technology Transfer Division proposed the vote of thanks.
