The ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad organized a five-day Virtual Training Programme on “IPR, Copyrights, Industrial Design and Plagiarism for the Faculties of TANUVAS, Chennai” from 24th to 28th August, 2021.

In his address, Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad highlighted the importance of innovations and IPRs in Indian agriculture.
In his valedictory address, Dr. John Kirubaharan, IDP Coordinator highlighted the role of IDP Project sponsored by the National Agricultural Higher Education Project in helping to conduct such programmes.
Outlining the importance of IPR in the veterinary field, Dr. B. Mohan, Controller of Examinations, Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu urged the trainee faculties for utilizing the learning in their research and teaching.
The various aspects of Intellectual Property Rights, viz., Patents Laws, Copyrights, Trademarks, Industrial Designs and Role of IPRs in Biodiversity and Geographical Indications along with the aspects of management of innovations, valuation of Intellectual Properties and Business Planning were discussed during the programme.
A total of 30 Faculty Members including the 11 Women Faculty Members participated in the programme.
