Farmers’-Scientists’-Interface Meeting on “Climate Resilient Varieties, Technologies and Practices” @Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav

The ICAR-Central Institute of Brackishwater Aquaculture, Chennai, Tamil Nadu organized the Farmers’-Scientists’-Interface Meeting on “Climate Resilient Varieties, Technologies and Practices” today.

In his address, Dr. K.P. Jithendran, Director, ICAR-CIBA, Chennai highlighted the importance of developing and popularizing the climate-resilient varieties / breeds to mitigate and adapt to the climate change impacts. He also outlined the working of the Institute on promoting the smart farming models adopting information and communication technology to resolve the emerging challenges.

The farmers were distributed with the Ornamental Fish Silver Moony (Monodactylus argenteus) Seeds during the occasion.

The Meeting organized as a part of the “Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav” to commemorate 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence registered participation by about 115 participants including Farmers, Scientists, Aqua Entrepreneurs and Students.
