National Level Training Programme on “Recent Advances in Cashew Production Processing & Post-Harvest Management” organized

6 - 8 January, 2022, Goa

The ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Goa in collaboration with the Directorate of Cashewnut & Cocoa Development, Cochin, Kerala organized the National Level Training Programme on “Recent Advances in Cashew Production Processing & Post-Harvest Management” at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, North Goa from 6th to 8th January, 2022.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest, Dr. S.K. Malhotra, Former Agriculture & Horticulture Commissioner, Government of India stated about the Cashew improvement, high density plantations and rejuvenation of plantations for enhancing the productivity.

Dr. Parveen Kumar, Director, ICAR-CCARI, Goa briefed about the Institute’s Cashew Improvement Programme and other activities.

Earlier welcoming the dignitaries, Dr. Venkatesh N. Hubballi, Director, DCCD, Cochin, Kerala highlighted the status of Cashew Production in the country and the scope for its improvement.

Shri Sanjiv Mayekar, Deputy Director, Directorate of Agriculture, Goa underlined the Cashew production’s scenario of the State.

The Delegates from 13 different States of the country participated in the programme.
