A delegation of agricultural scientists from Nepal made a visit to ICAR – Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Research Centre, Chandigarh on 28th March 2015 along with Dr. Alok Jha, Assistant Director General (IR), ICAR.
Dr. A.K. Tiwari, Head of the Centre made a presentation on ongoing activities of the centre and Participatory Watershed Management with its success stories. Delegates also visited Research Farm, Mansadevi, Panchkula, where Choe gauging watershed, Sloping Agricultural Land Technology (SALT), Agro-horticulture (aonla, ber and peach), Organic Farming and Conservation tillage were demonstrated.
