Workshop on “Translating Innovation into Business Opportunities” organized

The Agribusiness Incubation Centre of ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad organized Joint sensitization workshop on “Translating Innovation into Business Opportunities” today. The Workshop was organized in collaboration with the Agri-Business Incubation Centre, ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Cotton Technology, Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Delivering her inaugural address, Dr. (Smt.) Sujata Saxena, Director, ICAR-CIRCOT, Mumbai highlighted the agriculture sector’s contributions in the GDP. The Institute’s importance in the development of the Post-Harvest Technologies in Cotton was also underlined by Dr. Saxena.

Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad stated about the existing cotton production status and the yield gaps in cotton, etc. The need for strengthening the Agri-Start-Ups in the Cotton value-chain was stressed by Dr. Rao.

The Workshop was aimed at sensitizing the Start-Ups and Entrepreneurs on Pitching Process, Concept of MVP v/s MLP and Branding, etc.
