A Brain storming dialogue on Viral and Greening Diseases of Citrus: Challenges &Way Forward was organised by ICAR_Central Citrus Research Institute, Nagpur in collaboration with Technology Mission on Citrus on 28 July, 2015 on the occasion of the 30th Anniversary of the institute.

Dr.C.D.Mayee, Former Chairman, Agricultural Scientist Recruitment Board and Chief Guest said at the inaugural function of brainstorming dialogue that Genetically Modified citrus is the novel idea to combat greening pathogen and it is the biggest challenge for the citrus industry.   He appreciated the step taken by Central Citrus Research Institute for supplying a large number of disease free saplings to growers.

Other dignitaries were Prof Y. S. Ahlawat,Retd. Emeritus Scientist, IARI, New Delhi; Dr. P. K. Chakrabarty, ADG (PP), ICAR, New Delhi and Prof.  S.M. Paul Khurana Former V.C., RDVV Jabalpur &Retd. Director, CPRI, Shimla. Welcoming the guest Dr. M. S. Ladaniya, Director, Central Citrus Research Institute and Mission Leader,TMC gave a brief background for organising this dialogue.

CCRI publications and souvenir were released by Dr. C.D. Mayee during the programme Later, a Trichoderma biocontrol Lab. was also inaugurated by the dignitaries.
