3 - 5 March, 2022, Mysore District
The ICAR-Central Institute of Post-Harvest Engineering & Technology, Ludhiana, Punjab organized the Training Programme on “Safe Handling and Storage of Food Commodities” in Mysore District, Karnataka from 3rd to 5th March, 2022.

The Training Programme was organized in collaboration with the local Organizations of Mysore namely - Integrated Biocentre, Rangasamudra; Department of Horticulture, Mysore and Department of Agriculture, T. Narasipura, Mysore.


The programme was aimed at providing the Scheduled Caste Agricultural Laborers of Mysore District, Karnataka with the knowledge on safe handling and storage of food commodities along with the technological interventions to the post-harvest handling, storage & processing and value-addition.
The participants were encouraged to adopt the Institute’s developed technologies with the different capacities during the programme.
A total of 55 SC Beneficiaries from the different Villages of T. Narasipura and Malavalli participated in the programme.
