14 - 16 March, 2022, Kolkata
The ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Kolkata Centre organized the three-day Skill Development Training Programme on “Modern Methods for Sustainable Aquaculture” under the North-Eastern Hill Region Plan at District Fishery Office, Thoubal District, Manipur from 14th - 16th March, 2022. The programme was organized in collaboration with the District Fishery Office, Thoubal for 50 Fish Farmers.

Delivering the inaugural address, Smt. Kh. Ibetombi Devi, District Fishery Officer, Thoubal District, Manipur highlighted the main objectives and the relevance of conducting the training programme in the area.
The programme was initiated by Dr. C.N. Ravishankar, Director & Vice-Chancellor, ICAR-CIFE, Mumbai, Maharashtra and Dr. G.H. Pailan, Principal Scientist & Scientist-in-Charge, ICAR-CIFE, Kolkata Centre.
Earlier, Dr. S. Munilkumar, Principal Scientist, ICAR-CIFE, Kolkata Centre stressed on the need for sensitizing the fisher folks with the modern methods to improve the sustainable fish production.
