A one-week Master Trainer Certification Programme on ‘Millet-Based Value-Added Product Development for Entrepreneurship Development’ under the NEH Component 2024-25 was successfully organized at ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Assam, in collaboration with ICAR-Indian Institute of Millets Research, Hyderabad during 17-23 Match, 2025 under the visionary leadership of Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-IARI.
The training programme was attended by 18 women entrepreneurs from Dhemaji and North Lakhimpur districts of Assam, aiming to enhance their skills in millet-based food processing and business development.

During the training, participants prepared a variety of millet-based recipes, including Laddu, Bhujia, Barfi, Biscuit, Chakli, Puri, Khir, Pakora, Cake, Nimki, Instant Millet powder, refining their culinary skills and exploring value addition opportunities in millets.
The initiative aimed to empower rural women with entrepreneurial skills and promote nutritious, millet-based food products in local markets.
