The Orientation Workshop on Mission Karmayogi was successfully organized today at the A.P. Shinde Symposium Hall, NASC Complex, New Delhi. The event was designed to enhance the skills and efficiency of civil servants, aligning with the government’s vision of building a future-ready workforce.
Dr Himanshu Pathak, Secretary (DARE), Director General (ICAR), in his presidential address, emphasized that knowledge is the greatest wealth. He further stressed the importance of continuous learning for government employees, highlighting iGOT Karmayogi as the ideal platform for knowledge acquisition and skill development.
The Chief Guest, Dr (Mrs) Alka Mittal, Member (Admn) of the Capacity Building Commission (CBC), highlighted the core objective of the Mission Karmayogi initiative — to significantly improve the performance of government employees nationwide. She reiterated that the mission’s ultimate goal is to foster a highly efficient and capable civil service that is better equipped to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing world.
The Guest of Honor, Smt. V. Lalitalakshmi, IAS, CEO of Karmayogi Bharat, presented a detailed overview of i-GOT platform. She shared insights into the platform's objectives, its remarkable achievements, and future expansion plans. She noted that i-GOT Karmayogi currently boasts approximately 81 lakh users and offers over 1,870 courses, all aimed at enhancing the skills of government personnel.
Dr R.C. Agrawal, Deputy Director General, (Agricultural Education), spoke about the aims and objective of the programme.
The workshop underscored the importance of building a skilled and adaptable workforce within the Indian government, with Mission Karmayogi being a key pillar in this transformative process.
