Shri Bhagat Singh Kushwaha, Minister of State for Horticulture & Food Processing, Madhya Pradesh visits ICAR-CIAE, Bhopal

Shri Bharat Singh Kushwaha, Minister of State for Horticulture & Food Processing, Government of Madhya Pradesh visited the ICAR-Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh today.

The Minister visited the demonstration of horticulture machinery and processing technologies developed by the institute. He also urged the State Horticulture Officials for including the Tractor Operated Garlic Planter, Onion Trans-planter, Inclined Plate Planter, Pneumatic Planter and Platform for Orchard Management, Garlic Stem & Root Cutter, Onion Detopper, Onion Storage Structure and Ripening Chamber in State Subsidy Schemes for the benefit of Madhya Pradesh farmers.

Dr. C.R. Mehta, Director, ICAR-CIAE, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh apprised the Minister about the overall activities of the Institute and AICRPs on Machinery and Technologies related to horticulture and processing.

The main objective of the visit was to identify the horticultural machinery and processing technologies to include in the MP State Subsidy Schemes.
