ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad organized a Training of Trainers’ (ToT) workshop for faculty members of State Agricultural Universities (SAUs) to develop Soft skills and Entrepreneurship among Agri-graduates during January 23-24, 2023. The training has been organized with the aim to create a pool of Master trainers in agricultural universities who would in turn train the Agri-graduates in their respective universities. The Workshop was organized as a part of the World Bank-sponsored National Agricultural Higher Education Project Component - 2A.


Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM offered to extend handholding support to selected SAUs to create awareness among the Agri-graduates for entrepreneurship development throughout the length and breadth of the country.
Dr. Surya Rathore, Co-PI, NAHEP & Head (Acting), Extension Systems Management, NAARM briefed that this workshop is the second in the series with an earlier similar workshop held in the year 2019 created 34 master trainers who have trained more than 3000 students by organizing 28 programs in 25 Universities.
Twenty – seven faculty members representing 27 State Agricultural Universities belonging to 15 states participated in the workshop.
Consequent upon the completion of TOT program, each participant will organize a one-day workshop on “Development of Soft skills for Entrepreneurship among Agri Graduates” at their respective universities covering at least 100 students. The master trainers have been entrusted with the responsibility of training around 3000 Agri-graduates in 27 Universities as a follow-up action plan of the workshop.
