ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Zone-II, Jodhpur organized work plan workshop for KVKs of Haryana & Delhi at its campus today.
In the inaugural session, Prof. VD. Pradeep Kumar Prajapati, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. S R Rajasthan Ayurveda University, Jodhpur emphasized upon inclusion of Herbal Plantation under existing farming system for sustaining income of farming community. He also urged that promotion of live-stock sector must be given importance as livestock contribution in Haryana state in Agriculture Gross Domestic Product(GDP) is around 30 percent.

Dr. S.K. Singh, Director, ICAR-ATARI, Jodhpur said that application of Agri Drones and adoption of Natural Farming are the most priority areas in the present context of development of agriculture of country. He highlighted present scenario of crops, vegetables, fruits, livestock, fisheries etc. and accordingly work plan need to be prepared for benefit of various categories of farming community.
Dr. Balwan Mandal, Director of Extension Education, CCSHAU, Hisar briefed various technological packages relevant to various farming situations of Haryana. He also mentioned for proper and effective execution of Front Line Demonstrations in participatory mode. Various literature in the form of folders were released on this occasion.
Total 19 KVKs of Haryana & Delhi took active part in the work plan workshop.
