ICAR-North East Hill Region, Research Centre Nagaland, Medziphema organised a 10-day short course from 29th January - 7th February 2024 on the theme ‘Technology smart agricultural interventions for doubling framers income and entrepreneurship development in NEH region: Strategies and approaches’ to disseminate knowledge and framing of strategies for enhancing agricultural productivity and entrepreneurship development in the Northeast.
Dr. Girish Patil, Director, ICAR-NRC on Mithun, Dr. I. Shakuntala, Dean, College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, CAU-Jalukie and Dr. H. Kalita, Head Regional Centre, ICAR Nagaland Centre, were present during the programme.
A total of 35 lecturers were delivered by eminent resource persons from across the country. Field visits to Mithun farm, ICAR Nagaland Centre farm, Khonoma Village, and Moava village were organized to provide the participants with practical insights into agriculture and allied practices and innovations.
A total of 15 participants from Nagaland, Meghalaya, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Chhattisgarh participated in the programme.
