Training cum demonstration Programme on “Fish Processing & Value-added fish products” .

14th to16th December, 2022, Kolkata

The ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Kolkata Centre organized the three days training-cum- demonstration on “Fish Processing & Value-added Fish Products” from 14th to 16th December, 2022 under SCSP plan for the rural folks of West Bengal at the center.

The programme was initiated and supported by Dr. C.N. Ravishankar, Director  & Vice-Chancellor, ICAR-CIFE, Mumbai.

Dr. G.H. Pailan, Principal Scientist &OIC, ICAR-CIFE, Kolkata Centre. Dr. S. Dasgupta,  Dr. H. Mandakini Devi, training coordinators have given deliberations on benefits of fish for health,  ways of post-harvest preservation and demonstration on fish filleting,  pickles, sausages, cutlets, nuggets and prawn spicy powder preparation techniques.

The programme was participated by about 40 rural folks from North and South 24-Parganas district of West Bengal.
