To celebrate the “Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav” to commemorate 75 Years of India’s Independence, the ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Goa organized the Training Programme on “Disease Diagnosis and Management of Infertility in Livestock for the Veterinary Officers of Goa State” today.
In his inaugural address, Dr. Parveen Kumar, Director, ICAR-CCARI, Goa highlighted the role of the Field Veterinarians in connecting to the farmers, taking technologies to the field and the necessity of accurate & prompt diagnosis of livestock diseases for the control and prevention of disease outbreaks.

Dr. Niceta Cunha Costa, Veterinary Officer at DIU, Directorate of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Sciences, Goa delivered a Lecture on “Toxicological Investigation and Metabolic Diseases in Livestock”.
Around 25 field Veterinary Officers of the Directorate of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Sciences, Goa and Goa Dairy participated in the programme.
