Training Programme on “Objective Quality Evaluation of Jute and other Lignocellulosic Fibres” organized

The ICAR-National Institute of Jute and Allied Fibres, Kolkata organized the Training Programme on “Objective Quality Evaluation of Jute and other Lignocellulosic Fibres” FROM 6th to 8th June, 2022.

The Chief Guest, Shri Pausani Kumar, Executive Director (Eastern Zone), Food Corporation of India apprised the participants about the benefits of using the Jute bags in FCI for packaging and storing of the food grains. The importance of maintaining the appropriate quality of Jute fibres was also highlighted by Shri Kumar.

Dr. D.B. Shakyawar, Director, ICAR-NINFET, Kolkata underlined the importance of the objective quality evaluation of Jute and purpose of the training programme.

The Officers from various National Institutes, Entrepreneurs and Students from Jute growing States participated in the programme.
