Training Programme on “Traceability-based Value Chain Management in Meat Sector for Achieving Food Safety and Augmenting Exports” organized

The Virtual Training Programme on “Traceability-based Value Chain Management in Meat Sector for Achieving Food Safety and Augmenting Exports” was organized by the ICAR-National Research Centre on Meat, Hyderabad from 12th to 14th July 2022. The Programme was organized in collaboration with the MANAGE, Hyderabad.

The Chief Guest, Dr. Sindura Ganapati, Visiting Fellow, Office of Principal Scientific Advisor, Government of India, New Delhi highlighted the Government of India’s initiatives in developing the information technology-based solutions for the Indian livestock sector.

Dr. S.B. Barbuddhe, Director, ICAR-NRC on Meat, Hyderabad opined that one's health and traceability are vital for ensuring the safe food and combat the emerging and re-emerging diseases.

Dr. Shahaji S. Phand, Deputy Director, MANAGE, Hyderabad & Course Director stressed on the need for traceability for boosting the export potential of the country.

About 60 participants from the Industry, Academia and Entrepreneurs participated in the Programme.
