Vigilance Awareness Training & Campaign Activities

1st-3rd November 2023, Hyderabad

ICAR- National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad, organised a three-day training programme on ‘Vigilance Perspectives for ICAR Officers’, the second in a series from 1st-3rd November 2023 as a part of Vigilance Awareness Campaign and Vigilance Awareness Week. The primary objective of this training programme is to sensitize and develop the perspectives of vigilance among functionaries of ICAR institutions.

Dr. Ch Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NARRM, was the Chief Guest of the Valedictory Function. He distributed prizes to all the winners and requested the participants (AAOs) of the training programme to be proactive and create an enabling environment in their institutions for better research outcomes.

Dr. G Venkateshwarlu, Joint Director, ICAR-NARRM, said that they should be disposing of different cases following the procedures at their level, instead of referring to the council.

In his inaugural remark, Shri. Rajeev Lal, Joint Secretary (Admn) emphasised that adapting to changes is critical for the success of organisations; which needs to be adopted at every level, considering the shortage of staff in ICAR.

Dr. D Thammi Raju, Vigilance Officer, enumerates different activities undertaken during the Vigilance Awareness Campaign.

As a part of the Vigilance Awareness Week, several competitions were held for school children, PGDM-ABM students and staff at the Academy.

The programme was attended by 34 Assistant Administrative Officers representing 31 ICAR institutions spread over 17 states.
