Virtual Entrepreneurship Orientation Programme on Medicinal and Aromatic Plants concludes

The 21-day “Virtual Entrepreneurship Orientation Programme on Medicinal and Aromatic Plants - III (EOPMAP - III)” organized by the ICAR-Directorate of Medicinal and Aromatic Plant Research, Anand, Gujarat from 19th July, 2021 to 8th August, 2021 concluded today. The programme was organized in association with the Institute’s Medi-Hub TBI Agri-Business Incubation (ABI) Centre.

In his address, the Chief Guest, Dr. S.K. Chakrabarti, Vice-Chancellor, Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Cooch Behar, West Bengal stated that the Agri-Business Incubators (ABI) play a vital role in translating the ideas into business ventures in agriculture. He stressed on the need for commercialization of technologies in Medicinal and Aromatic Plants.

Virtual Entrepreneurship Orientation Programme on Medicinal and Aromatic Plants concludes

Dr. Satyansu Kumar, Principal Scientist, ICAR-DMAPR, Anand, Gujarat highlighted the various business models to take-up for Entrepreneurship in MAPs like cultivation, trading, value-addition, high value compounds and others.

The main objective of the programme was to accelerate the business development in Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MAPs).

Over 81 participants including Students, Entrepreneurs and Researchers participated in the virtual training programme.
