Virtual Training Programme on “Analysis of Experimental Data using SAS” concludes at ICAR-NAARM

The six-day Virtual Training Programme on “Analysis of Experimental Data using Statistical Analysis System (SAS)” organized by the ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad from 9th to 17th November, 2020 concluded today.

In his presidential address, Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad highlighted the need of statistical analysis in agricultural research. He opined that besides, the Indian agricultural scientists’ efforts towards experiments and generation of primary data, the statistical analysis of the collected data is limited.

Dr. S.K. Soam, Joint Director, ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad apprised the participants about the various training programmes on Statistical Analysis of Data conducted using different softwares like SAS, R, QGIS, Bluesky and SPSS.

Earlier, Dr. S Ravichandran, Principal Scientist and Programme Director outlined the overview of the training programme.

The training programme registered a total participation by 110 participants including 37 women participants from ICAR Institutes, State Agricultural Universities and other Central / State Government Institutes.
