Dr. Himanshu Pathak, Secretary (DARE) & Director General (ICAR), visited ICAR- Indian Institute of Soil & Water Conservation, Research Centre, Vasad, Gujarat, today.
Dr. Pathak, urged the Engineering students to work hard in strengthening the National Agricultural Research System of the country in future. In his concluding statement, Dr. Pathak, stated that the contribution of NARS is playing a very important role during the Amrit Kaal for Viksit Bharat by 2047.
Dr. M. Das, Director, ICAR- Directorate of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Research, Anand, Gujarat, Dr. Jagdish Rane, Director, ICAR- Central Institute for Arid Horticulture, Bikaner, Rajasthan, Dr. M.J Kaledhonkar, Head, ICAR-IISWC RC, Vasad, were also present during the visit.
A detailed discussion on research mandate of centre, ongoing research activities and proven technologies by centre on farmers' fields was also held.
