A newly built auditorium at the ICAR-National Institute of Animal Nutrition and Physiology, Bengaluru was inaugurated by Dr. Himanshu Pathak, Secretary (DARE) and Director General (ICAR) today.
The Director General urged to self-evaluate against the regional, national, and international institutions in the domain area and strive hard to achieve international excellence and expertise. He also highlighted the recent policy decisions taken by the Council such as to Corpus fund and funding for young Scientists.
Dr. JK Jena, Deputy Director General (Fisheries. & Animal Science) also graced the occasion. While appreciating the achievements of the institute in terms of technology, patents, commercialization of technologies, and international collaboration, he urged the Scientists to publish articles in high-impact factor journals and develop more technologies.
Dr Raghavendra Bhatta, Director, ICAR-NIANP briefed the present facilities and achievements of the Institute during the last 27 years.
On this occasion, two silver jubilee publications namely ‘ICAR-NIANP Research Projects and Publications’ and ‘Impact Analysis of NIANP Technologies’ were released.
An MoU for licensing the Small Ruminant Mineral Mixture to M/s Nandi Agrovet, Bengaluru was also signed in the presence of the dignitaries. The firm acquired the same license in 2013 for a period of 10 years, and as the demand for the product is continuously increasing, has renewed the license after the expiry of the earlier license.
