The ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izatnagar, Uttar Pradesh celebrated its 131st Foundation Day today.
In his inaugural address, the Chief Guest, Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, Secretary (DARE) & DG (ICAR) urged the staff members to work even harder to contribute to the nation building through cutting edge research in the frontier areas of animal sciences. The Director General stressed emphasized on carrying out research on animal behavior to meet their needs precisely, so that production could be taken up in animal friendly manner. He also accentuated that the scientists should work for the livestock development towards farmers’ all round benefits.
The Chief Guest also unveiled the Golden & Silver Jubilee Pillars of P&C Division & CAFT, respectively and released two ICAR-IVRI Technologies and two Mobile Apps during the occasion.
Dr. B.N. Tripathi, Deputy Director General (Animal Science), ICAR applauded the Institute’s remarkable works and efforts for its all-round development. He also urged to strive hard to develop and modernize the infrastructure towards improving the research eco-system.
Dr. B.P. Mishra, Director, ICAR-IVRI, Izatnagar, Uttar Pradesh outlined the Institute’s achievements in the areas of animal health, production research alongside technology transfer for the welfare of farming community.
The senior officials along with the staff members of the Institutes attended the programme.
