ICAR Institutes celebrate Indian Constitution Day - 2020

The 26th November every year is celebrated as the day to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India on 26th November, 1949. The day marks the reading of the Preamble of the Constitution of India in all the government offices across the country.

The ICAR Institutes pan India also celebrated the day with full fervor.

ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad

The Institute virtually celebrated the Indian Constitution Day - 2020.

In his address, Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad paid tributes to Bharat Ratna, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Chief Architect of Indian Constitution. He also outlined his contributions to the agricultural development as a way of life in India.

 In his valedictory address, Prof. G. Vinod Kumar, Associate Professor & Director, PG Law College, Osmania University, Hyderabad underlined the evolution of Indian Constitution and highlighted the landmark events in the process. He also hailed the immense contributions of Bharat Ratna, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in preparing one of the best and inclusive constitutions in the world.

The programme registered a total participation by around 200 members of the Academy consisting of Faculty Members, Officers and Staff Members, 111^th FOCARS Trainees and PGDM-ABM Students.

ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Research Centre, Ballari, Karnataka

On the occasion to celebrate the Indian Constitution Day, Shri Ramesha M.N., Sci. (Forestry), ICAR-IISWC, Research Centre, Ballari, Karnataka apprised the participants about the constitutional values and their importance.

Prof. Revanasiddappa, Professor (Political Science), Department of Political Science, Veerashaiva College, Ballari, Karnataka delivered the Guest Lecture on “Importance of Constitution and its awareness” on the occasion of Indian Constitution Day - 2020. He also stressed on making every member of the Centre to be familiar with the Constitutional Rights and Duties and encouraged to actively participate in the democracy as a good citizen.
