Virtual Training Programme on “Integrated Nutrient Management” organized

The ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil Science, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh and State Institute of Agricultural Extension & Training (SIAET), Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh jointly organized the three-day Virtual Training Programme on “Integrated Nutrient Management” from 21st to 23rd December, 2020. The programme was organized as a part of Improving Soil Health Campaign during December, 2020.

During the inaugural session, Dr. Ashok K. Patra, Director, ICAR-IISS, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh and Shri G.P. Prajapati, Director, SIAET, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh virtually addressed the participants.

The programme was aimed at apprising the importance of INM, role and dynamics of soil nutrients, residue management, micronutrients and their management, INM in long-term fertilizer experiments, uses of biofertilizers, INM in problem soils, ITK under organic farming, etc. The social issues like gender sensitization and gender budgeting were also well addressed during the occasion.

A total of 40 State Government Officials from different parts of Madhya Pradesh participated in the programme.
