ICAR-ATARI, Zone-I, Ludhiana organized a workshop on Cluster frontline demonstrations on Pulses and Oilseeds for the KVKs of Zone-I on 23-24 January 2017 at PAU, Ludhiana.
Dr. A. K. Mehta, Chief Guest, former ADG (Extension) and Consultant NFSM discussed about the production and import scenario of pulse and oilseed crops in India and highlighted the broad objectives of the project.
Dr V.P. Chahal, ADG (Extension), ICAR and National Coordinator of CFLD project expressed his satisfaction on the progress of FLDs of Pulses and Oilseeds and urged the scientists to not only look after the laid FLDs but also ensure significant increase in area.
Dr. Rajbir Singh, Director, ICAR-ATARI, Ludhiana gave a brief remark about the project and highlighted the salient achievements of project. He also stressed upon that the need for soil testing of each field under FLD. During the programme, annual report of Oilseeds was also released by the dignitaries.
The workshop was attended by around eighty five (85) Programme Coordinators and Scientists of Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) of Zone-I conducting demonstrations under the project, besides scientists and researchers from PAU and ICAR-ATARI. Ludhiana.
