Training Programme on “Climate-Resilient Crops for Food & Nutritional Security - Maize Value Chain Systems for Sustainable Livelihoods via Better Production, Protection & Price” organized

The ICAR-National Research Centre on Meat, Hyderabad organized the two-day Hands-on-Training Programme on “Small Scale Meat Product Processing and Value-Addition” at Sasya Shyamala Krishi Vigyan Kendra (SSKVK), Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute (RKMVERI), West Bengal from 6th to 7th June, 2022.

Swami Shivapurnananda, Assistant Administrative Head, IRDM Faculty Centre & Vice-Chairman, SSKVK, RKMVERI, West Bengal; Dr. N.C. Sahu, Head, SSKVK, RKMVERI, West Bengal and Senior Officials of ICAR Institutes participated and deliberated during the occasion.

The Institute also signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the RKMVERI, West Bengal for establishing a small Hygienic Meat Processing Unit at the KVK for the effective training of farmers in the region.

The programme organized under the Development Action Plan for Scheduled Castes (DAPSC) registered participation by 25 Women Self-Help Group Members.
