Launch and Review Workshop of ICAR-ATARI, Zone - I, Ludhiana organized

The “Launch and Review Workshop of NICRA for ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Zone - I, Ludhiana, Punjab” was organized at Kullu from 18^th to 19^th July, 2022.

The programme was chaired by Dr. V.K. Singh, Director, ICAR-CRIDA, Hyderabad and co-chaired by Dr. Rajbir Singh, Director, ICAR-ATARI, Zone - I, Ludhiana.

Earlier, Dr. K.C. Sharma, P.C., Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kullu welcomed the participants.

The participants of the Workshop visited the NICRA Village of Kullu and interacted with the farmers about the performance of technologies introduced in the Village. The Technologies like water harvesting in ponds, Pomegranate varieties, Apple cultivars with low chilling requirements, Garlic as Cash Crop and high value vegetables like Tomato, Cabbage, Cauliflower with harvested water, use of mineral mixture, UMMB in livestock, etc., are some of the interventions which are adopted on a significant scale in the Village.

The main objective of the Workshop was to review the work done during 2021-22 and finalize the Action Plan for the Year - 2022-23.

About 17 Krishi Vigyan Kendras from 3 States and 2 Union Territories participated in the Workshop.
