The possibilities for wider utilization of "Golden Bean" soybean has not only attracted the farmers of the country but has also provided business opportunities for the food industry.

In the light of this scenario, a three-day training program was organized from 4th to 6th August 2022 by the ICAR-Indian Institute of Soybean Research, Indore for budding entrepreneurs in food startups.

In this training program, discussions were held on the soy products like soy paneer, soymilk, tofu, soy-made bakery products, and their byproduct utilization.
Trainees from Bangalore (Karnataka), Parbhani (Maharashtra), and Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh) participated in the training programme.
The trainees were also exposed to the Agri-business Incubation Center of the institute, and explained the health benefits of soybean and soy-based food products.
Dr Nita Khandekar, Director, ICAR-IISR, Indore assured the trainees that all possible assistance will be provided by the Institute for the smooth beginning of a successful enterprise.
