KVK Ri Bhoi Organized Capacity Building Programme On Natural Farming

The ICAR - Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ri-Bhoi, Meghalaya organized a “Capacity building programme on Natural Farming of Agri – Horti Crops” under the Project “Out Scaling of Natural Farming Through KVKs” coordinated by SMS horticulture, agronomy and head KVK.

The two days programme was inaugurated by Dr. V. K. Mishra, Director, ICAR NEH, Umiam . In his inaugural speech emphasised on restoration of soil health, fertility as well as human health by following natural farming practices to grow crops. During the two days programme various aspects and principles of natural farming was elaborated to 51 farmer participants of Ri Bhoi district. Besides practical demonstration at KVK farm, farmers were exposed to production and application of different bio-formulations in the bio-pesticide laboratory at CPGSAS-CAU, Umiam.
