Farmers’ orientation-cum-Training programme on High Oleate groundnut Girnar-4 and Girnar-5 seed production

One-day “Farmers orientation cum Training program on High Oleate groundnut Girnar-4 and Girnar-5 seed production and Felicitation of Farmers” was held at ICAR-Directorate of Groundnut Research, Junagadh today.

More than 65 Farmers from the Saurashtra region of Gujarat involved in seed production of Girnar 4 and Girnar 5 were present for the training program.

The Chief Guest, Smt. Geetaben Parmar, Mayor, Junagadh Municipal Corporation urged the farmers to take benefit of Girnar-4 and Girnar-5 groundnut varieties developed by ICAR-DGR.

Dr. S. K. Bera, Director, ICAR- Directorate of Groundnut Research, Junagadh delivered concluding remarks on the occasion.

Progressive farmers shared their experience with Girnar 4 and Girnar 5 seed production

Six Farmers were felicitated during the event for achieving higher yields in Girnar-4 and Girnar-5 in their fields during Kharif-2022.
