ICAR-South Zone Sports Meet organized by ICAR-NAARM

25th November 2022, Hyderabad

The Zonal Sports Meet of 26 ICAR Institutes of South India organized by ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad concluded here today.

Mrs. Alka Nangia Arora IAS, Additional Secretary (DARE) & Financial Advisor, ICAR was the Chief Guest for the concluding ceremony.

Shri. RK Purushottam, General Secretary, Indian Olympic Association - AP Chapter was the Guest of Honour. Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, NAARM presided over the concluding ceremony.

Earlier Dr. G. Venkateshwarlu, Joint Director, ICAR-NAARM delivered welcome address.

Dr.K.Kareemulla, Principal Scientist and the Organizing Secretary presented the report on the sports meet.

Dr.S.Ravichandran, Principal Scientist and the CDM, NAARM contingent proposed words of thanks.

Shri.N.Ramireddy international athlete inaugurated the meet on 22nd November 2022 at the South Central Railway - Railway Sports Complex, Secunderabad.

Over 750 sports persons participated in the sports meet. T10 cricket was introduced for the first time in this sports meet. ICAR-IIHR emerged as the overall champion with maximum points in this tournament followed by ICAR-CMFRI and ICAR-IIRR.
