Secretary, DAHD visits ICAR-Indian Grassland and Fodder Research Institute, Jhansi

Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh, Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, visited the ICAR-Indian Grassland and Fodder Research Institute, Jhansi today.

He was accompanied by Dr Abhijit Mitra, Animal Husbandry Commissioner and Dr O P Chaudhary, Joint Secretary, NLM/PC.

During an interactive meeting held under the chairmanship of Shri Singh with the Director and the Scientists of the institute, he urged to organize interface meeting /conclave with industries for fodder, TMR and silage with collaboration of state agencies with financial assistance from DAHD.

Dr Amaresh Chandra, Director, ICAR-IGFRI delivered a detailed presentation on Enhancing forage resources - Innovative Technologies and Issues. He also briefed about the technologies developed by the institute at Technology Demonstration Block.

A field visit of Central Research Farm was also conducted to showcase the ongoing research programmes of the institute.
