Orchid Training and Demonstration at Karbi Anglong

ICAR-NRC on Orchids, Sikkim organised off Campus Demonstration and training on Orchid Cultivation at Marlelongso Village, Diphu, Karbi Anglong (District), Assam under Tribal Sub-Plan Scheme (TSP) for Jirjar Self Help Group on 19^th July, 2016.

The farmers were taught on importance and different aspects of orchid cultivation to make as a component of mixed farming adopted by farmers from Karbi Anglong.

Agricultural inputs, farm implements and planting material were distributed to the lead beneficiary to advance model unit on orchid cultivation and strengthening ongoing demonstration site.

On this occasion, the TSP members also visited the KVK, Diphu

The Orchid TSP programme was initiated with assistance and coordination with Department of Agriculture, Karbi Anglong from last year onwards.
