ICAR-Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture, Bhubneshwar and ICAR-Indian Agricultural Statistics Research Institute, New Delhi jointly conducted a training program on “Analysis of Biological data Using Computational tools” under CABin network project during 5-14 July, 2016 at Kauslyaganga.
Prof. Dr. Anil Rai, Head, Bioinformatics, ICAR-IASRI, New Delhi as a Chief Guest of the inaugural program stressed upon the need of bioinformatician in Agriculture sector and how bioinformatics has helped genomics and allied work in other fields of Science. ASHOKA, the Super computer facility at IASRI, New Delhi would facilitate to meet the challenges in computational data analysis, including development of new tools in agriculture bioinformatics; CABIn project is a step forward in this direction.
In the closing ceremony on 14 July 2016. Dr P Jayasankar, Director, ICAR-CIFA urged the young minds to take up more challenges without the fear of failure.
Thirty five students from from Odisha, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Maharsahtra participated in the traning programme.
